About Me

My name is Emanuel Amler, I live in Vienna/Austria. I started with 3D in the year 2000 and have been working in the Industry since 2002. From beginning of 2004 until end of 2008 I was Lead Artist/Senior Animator at Sproing: www.sproing.com 

I worked on several titles that are already realeased and on a lot concepts for games. In march 2009 I graduated from AnimationMentor.

From April - November 2010 I worked as VFX animator at Framestore CFC London on Chronicles of Narnia III and Gravity: www.framestore.com

I became father of a beautyful daughter in March 2011. At the moment I live and work in Vienna again as freelance Animator as well as Lead Animator at Novomatic.

A really short proof of concept. All graphics by me, Music and Sound by Sascha Peres.

Me and my good friend Frank Spalteholz were Animators on this short movie by Margherita Premuroso. It's about one of the four seasons.

Chronicles of Narnia - The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

My first feature film project at Framestore. I worked on shots of Aslan and the Dufflepuds. It was a great honour and pleasure to work on such a famous movie and even on the god of Narnia itself :)

"The Date" - Animationmentor Graduation Project

The date was my final project at Animationmentor. I was in charge of all the animations, the story, planning, cutting, set modeling/texturing/rendering. Characters were provided by Animationmentor (I had to dress them though) and the sound editing was done by Henrik Jakoby.

CURSED MOUNTAIN - (Wii), at SPROING
A really exciting and thrilling horror game for the Wii Console. I worked as animator on some of the bosses.

MEIN GESTÜT - (Wii), at SPROING
Another horseback riding game I worked on as Animator. This time it was for the Nintendo Wii. The focus was again on realistic Animations for all Characters for the game. I also did some Level work on that game.

RIDING STAR 3 - (PC, PS2), at SPROING
My second game as Lead Artist. Riding Star 3 is sport simulation game. The focus for the Animations was 100% realism. That was really hard to accomplish, but not impossible :) More info about the game is on the Sproing homepage.

BEST FRIENDS - Cats & Dogs (Nintendo DS, PC), at SPROING
My first NintednoDS project. I was creating and animating the dogs, did some texture work, marketing renderings and general stuff. Even though the restrictions of the platform are very tight, it was great fun to develop a game for DS. I really like the possibility to interact with the characters via the touchscreen. UNDERCOVER - Operation Wintersun (PC), at SPROING
My first project as Lead Artist. I was responsible for management of the graphics team and also created lots of content myself, like the main character, backgrounds, animations, sfx, etc. The project was a big challenge for the whole team, because the schedule was so tight! Thanks again to all for the good work!

JACKED (PC, PS2, Xbox, action-motorbike-game), at SPROING
On this project I did all the character animations (ingame&menu-selection), the Intro animation and the Trailer. The game was released in February 2006.

Crazy Kickers (PC, cartoon stile soccer-game), at SPROING
I am responsible for all animations of the Lizards, half of the animations for the Primates and 2 animations for the referee. This was the first Project where I really learned to produce high quality animations. Special thanks to Tim Meredith for teaching and helping me with that! The game was released in 2004.

(T)Raumschiff Surprise (PC, Point-and-CLick Adventure) at SPROING
I was in charge of modeling all the Backgrounds, the Rendering was done by Bleick Bleicken (www.pixel-storm.de). I also modeled and animated several Characters. The game was released in 2004.
